Maxmillian is a powerful type of armor which is made of steel. It is very rare, and is usually obtained late into a game. The Maxmillian first appears in Final Fantasy Tactics.

Final Fantasy series[edit]

Final Fantasy IX[edit]

In Final Fantasy IX, the Maxmillian is a type of armor that can be equipped by either Adelbert Steiner or Beatrix. It is obtainable in disc 4 by using Dead Pepper at Shimmering Island's former location while riding Choco. If either Steiner or Beatrix wears the suit, they learn the support ability, HP+20%.

Final Fantasy IV (remakes)[edit]

In Final Fantasy IV, starting with Final Fantasy IV Advance, the Maxmillian appears in the Lunar Ruins dungeon. It can only be equipped by Cid Pollendina.

Final Fantasy V (remakes)[edit]

Like Final Fantasy IV, the Maxmillian only appears in remakes of Final Fantasy V, starting with Final Fantasy V Advance. The Maxmillian is found in the Sealed Temple.

Final Fantasy (remakes)[edit]

In remakes of Final Fantasy, starting with the PlayStation Portable release, the Maxmillian can be obtained by defeating Chronodia's first form. The Maxmillian can be equipped by Knight, Red Mage, Red Wizard, and Warrior. Despite its rarity, the Maxmillian can only be sold for 100 gil.
