Mythril Shield
The Mythril Shield (ミスリルのたて Misuriru Shīrudo) is a type of shield made out of mythril. It appears in several Final Fantasy games, and makes its debut appearance in the first Final Fantasy.

In Final Fantasy, a Mythril Shield increases its wearer's Defense by 8. It be equipped by Warrior, its upgraded form Knight, and Ninja. Mythril Shields can be bought from Crescent Lake's Armor Shop for 2,000 gil each and sold for 1,000 gil each. There are two treasure chests containing a Mythril Shield, located at Cavern of Earth (B4) and Mount Gulg (B2) respectively.
In the Nintendo Entertainment System release, the item is named SILVER, short for Silver Shield.[1] In this release and the PlayStation version's Hard Mode, Mythril Shields instead cost 2,500 gil and can be sold for 1,250 gil.
