The Flame Sword is a sword imbued with the element of fire. It appears in a few of the earlier Final Fantasy games, starting with Final Fantasy. In later games, the Flame Sword was replaced with the Flametongue. Any enemies vulnerable to fire take twice as much damage from the Flame Sword. Its blade is usually depicted as being a red-orange color, matching the color of fire.
