Blood Bats are a type of Bat enemy in the Final Fantasy games. They first appear in Final Fantasy III.
History[edit]
Final Fantasy IV[edit]
In Final Fantasy IV, Blood Bats are encountered in Cave Eblan. Its ability is Bloodfeast, in which it slowly sucks away HP from its victim. Blood Bats are vulnerable to fire-elemental attacks or from throw attacks.
In the Super Nintendo and PlayStation releases, it is named GiantBat, and in the Game Boy Advance version, it is named Bloody Bat.
