The Caravan is a shop in Final Fantasy. It is found within the northern part of the desert, west of Onrac, and is run by Underhill. In the Nintendo Entertainment System version, the location is named OASIS, and in the Final Fantasy Origins remake, it is known as the Desert Caravan.

At the Caravan, Underhill has an expensive item on sale, the Bottled Faerie, which he got from a pirate at Gaia. The Warriors of Light are required to buy the Bottled Faerie in order to access the Sunken Shrine.

In the Nintendo Entertainment System version, the airship can land on the Caravan, making it the only desert terrain that it can land on. In this version, the Warriors of Light directly enter the store from the desert terrain. Starting with the WonderSwan Color version, the warriors access the store differently; when they walk to the Caravan area from the world map, the screen zooms in to a sand area, and to the north is a sand-colored tent, which is where the store is. Oddly, the zoomed-in area outside the Caravan plays the town theme, making it the only non-town area to do so.

Items[edit]

At first, the Bottled Faerie is the only item for sale. In the Nintendo Entertainment System version and Final Fantasy Origins release, once the Warriors buy the Bottled Faerie, Underhill starts to sell a few basic healing items. Starting with the Final Fantasy I & II: Dawn of Souls release, he sells higher priced tonics instead.
