History
Final Fantasy series
Final Fantasy
In Final Fantasy, the Earth Crystal is located on floor B5 of the Cavern of Earth. It is the first crystal that must be restored by the Warriors of Light. The Earth Crystal preserves the vitality of the land. Many years before the game's events, the Earth Crystal's power was drained by Lich, causing the surrounding lands to decay. After the Warriors of Light defeat Lich, the Earth Crystal's power is restored.
Chocobo series
Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo Tales
In Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo Tales, it is known as crystal of earth, which rests within the forest area, right ahead of the second volume of "Unicorn and the Town Musicians". Unlike most of its appearances, the crystal of earth is green, and the crystal of light was made the yellow crystal. The crystal of earth is the second crystal that Chocobo must restore. The Unicorn is the guardian of the crystal of earth. When Chocobo unlocks the book's first epilogue, the crystal of earth's light is restored. After the Unicorn briefly introduces itself to Chocobo, Shirma, and Chroma, a dark mist surrounds the crystal of earth, draining its power, and Bebuzzu appears. He swallows the crystal and takes on a new form. Chocobo must must defeat Bebuzzu in a pop-up duel to recover the crystal of earth, although its power is still missing because it was inhaled by Bebuzzu.
The crystal of earth and the other three crystals are featured in the last book, "Legend of the Crystals". The crystal of earth is simply named the green crystal in the book's opening. According to the opening, the green crystal created planets and stars from nothing, bringing the land into existence.
