Cobras are purple, venomous snake enemies that appear in Final Fantasy. They are the same species as their real world counterpart. A Cobra's attack can sometimes poison their target.

In the original Nintendo Entertainment System release, Cobras are named ASP, but their non-poisonous counterpart, Anacondas, are named COBRA. Asps are a real world poisonous snake found in Africa. Aside from Anaconda, Cobras also have Python and Sea Snake variations. Their names were respectively changed to Cobra and Anaconda starting with the Final Fantasy Origins remake.
