Cobras are purple, venomous snake enemies that appear in Final Fantasy. They are the same species as their real world counterpart. A Cobra's attack can sometimes poison their target.

In the original Nintendo Entertainment System release, Cobras are named ASP, but their non-poisonous counterpart, Anacondas, are named COBRA. Asps are a real world poisonous snake found in Africa.
