Princess Sarah is the princess of Cornelia and the daughter of the King of Cornelia in Final Fantasy. In the Nintendo Entertainment System version, her name is formatted Princess Sara. Princess Sarah's name and title is derived from the Hebrew name Sarah (שָׂרָה‎), meaning "princess".

History

Final Fantasy

In Final Fantasy, Princess Sarah serves as the damsel in distress early in the game. When the Warriors of Light visit Castle Cornelia, they learn from the King that his daughter, Sarah, has been kidnapped by Garland. The King sends the warriors on a quest to rescue Sarah, promising to rebuild the Drawbridge once they do.

The Warriors of Light find Garland and Sarah in Chaos Shrine, and the warriors manage to defeat Garland. Back at Castle Cornelia, Sarah gives the Lute to the warriors as a reward for being rescued. She wishes that the Warriors of Light would stay at Cornelia, but understands that they must continue on their journey. As he promised, the King instructs his men to rebuild the Drawbridge, allowing the warriors to continue along their journey.
