Game appearances

Final Fantasy

In Final Fantasy, Crazy Horses are encountered early in the game, at the surrounding areas of Cornelia, Chaos Shrine, and Pravoka each. Starting with the Final Fantasy I & II: Dawn of Souls release, there is also a Crazy Horse ghost in the underworld of Whisperwind Cove. In the original Nintendo Entertainment System version, they are known as MADPONY, also spelled MAD PONY[1]. Crazy Horses are skilled in evading attacks, and while the Warriors of Light are still weak and leveling up, Crazy Horses are usually the first to attack.

In the Nintendo Entertainment System version, Crazy Horses are depicted with a white mane and tail, both of which were made green in the MSX2 version. In the WonderSwan Color and Final Fantasy Origins versions, Crazy Horses have a black mane and tail, a red horn and red hooves. In Final Fantasy I & II: Dawn of Souls, they have a yellow body and a dark purple mane and tail, both of which were later changed to blue for the PlayStation Portable version.

Final Fantasy Dimensions

In Final Fantasy Dimensions, Crazy Horses are encountered in Mt. Verde, Verde, and the Forest Hut.

Final Fantasy: All the Bravest

Crazy Horse FFAtB sprite.png

In Final Fantasy: All the Bravest, Crazy Horses are encountered in Palamecia Desert 1 and Palamecia Desert 3. It attacks using the move Horn and drops a Claymore when defeated. Crazy Horse's sprite is nearly identical to its Final Fantasy I & II: Dawn of Souls sprite but is slightly darker.
