Anabella Lesage née Rosfield is a major antagonist in Final Fantasy XVI. She was the Duchess of Rosaria and the mother of Clive and Joshua Rosfield, but later betrayed her country for the Holy Empire of Sanbreque, marrying Sylvestre Lesage, becoming the Empress of Sanbreque.

Background[edit]
Anabella is the mother of Clive and Joshua. When the Phoenix chooses her younger son Joshua, instead of Clive, she views her older son as a failure and treated him poorly, while favoring Joshua. Her husband Elwin did not approve of this behavior, supporting Clive whenever she is not present.
