Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy (pronounced as Dissidia Duodecim Final Fantasy) is both a prequel and a remake to Dissidia Final Fantasy. It was developed and published by Square Enix and was released for the PlayStation Portable, like the first game. Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy was released in March 2011, first in Japan, then in the United States, and lastly in Europe and Australia.
The game initially focuses on the twelfth war between Cosmos, the goddess of harmony, and Chaos, the god of discord, who have summoned good and evil warriors from parallel worlds to fight for their respective side. Afterward, the game remakes the events of the original Dissidia Final Fantasy and introduces multiple sidestories.
