The most consistent differences between the Pixel Remaster releases and other versions is that they are much more faithful to the original design; little to no extra content or gameplay changes from remakes or ports are kept in these versions. For example, Cyan's Bushido ability retains its unique usage (a rapidly repleting bar with 8 different tiers corresponding corresponding a different command) as opposed to being a normal list of options like it was changed to be in the defunct iOS and older Steam release of Final Fantasy VI.

Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster is a line of remastered versions of the first six Final Fantasy games. Each game is sold individually on Steam and mobile devices. It marks the first time in which the original 2D version of Final Fantasy III is released outside of Japan.

Differences between Pixel Remaster and other rereleases

The most consistent differences between the Pixel Remaster releases and other versions is that they are much more faithful to the original design; little to no extra content or gameplay changes from remakes or ports are kept in these versions.
