Tent

Tents (Japanese: テント) are an item that appear in some Final Fantasy games, starting with the first Final Fantasy. Characters can use the tent on the overworld to rest, which restores either some or all of their HP and MP, depending on the game. After one use, the tent is discarded.

History

Final Fantasy

In Final Fantasy, if the Warriors of Light have a Tent, they can use and rest in it from the overworld to restore a lot of their HP and MP. In early releases, a Tent can also be used to save the game progress.

In the North American version of the original NES release, the Sleeping Bag is known as the "Tent", while the actual Tent is called the "Cabin" (with the Cottage being called the "House"). Tents can be purchased at the Item Shops of Elfheim, Crescent Lake, and Melmond. In the NES version and the PlayStation version's Hard Mode, Tents cost 250 gil and can be sold for 125 gil. In the PlayStation version's Easy Mode and later remakes, a Tent costs 160 gil and can be sold for 80 gil. The Warriors of Light can also obtain a Tent by defeating a Hill Gigas or Manticore, or in certain treasure chests found at:
