Bone is an enemy ability used by skeletal dinosaurs in the Final Fantasy games. It first appears in Final Fantasy V. It involves an enemy throwing a bone at a party member. In most of its appearances, Bone deals heavy, non-elemental damage.
History[edit]
In Final Fantasy V, Bone is used by Bone Dragons and Dinozombies. The attack causes their target to lose nearly all of their HP.
In Final Fantasy VI, Bone is used by Fossil Dragons and their variant, Zombie Dragons. The move deals heavy damage to a party member, but if Zombie Dragon uses the attack, its target is inflicted with the Zombie status.
In Final Fantasy Mystic Quest, the move is named Bone Missile, and is used by Flamerus Rex and its relative, Skullrus Rex. When either boss uses Bone Missile, they throw a bone in a boomerang-type fashion at either Bejamin or his partner.
