Steal is an ability and a battle command that appears in several Final Fantasy games. The ability first appeared in Final Fantasy III, although technically it first appeared in the first SaGa game, The Final Fantasy Legend. The Steal command may allow the user to steal an item from a certain opponent, although there is a chance of it not working. Steal is usually used by the Thief class. In some games, Steal has an upgraded ability named Mug, which acts the same but also inflicts damage.
History[edit]
Final Fantasy VI[edit]
In Final Fantasy VI, the Steal ability is used by Locke Cole. If he has the Thief Glove equipped, the command is upgraded to Mug.
