Anacondas are green snake enemies that appear in Final Fantasy. Most of them are encountered in caves or from areas that surround caves on the world map. In the original Nintendo Entertainment System release, they are named COBRA. Since the Final Fantasy Origins remake, the name was given over to Cobra, who is named ASP in the original Nintendo Entertainment System version.
Anacondas are encountered at the Ryukahn Desert, the Southern Marsh, and the surrounding areas of Crescent Lake and Mount Gulg. They are also found in Marsh Cave (floor B3) and Cavern of Earth (floor B1).
In the original Nintendo Entertainment System version, Anacondas have pink spots over their body and a pink tongue. Their MSX2 sprite shows them with yellow spots and a yellow tongue. Starting with Final Fantasy Origins, their striped underbelly is shown and were given a red tongue. In the PlayStation Portable version, they have a purple tongue and large, purple dots on their body.
