Magitek (魔導) is a type of technology and power source that appears in several Final Fantasy games, the first being Final Fantasy VI.

Final Fantasy VI[edit]
In Final Fantasy VI, Magitek is magical energy that is sourced from Espers. Magitek is frequently referenced throughout the first half of the game. A Magitek Armor is an example of Magitek technology. There are also Magitek Knights, such as Kefka and General Celes, who are infused with Magitek. One of the dungeons is the Magitek Research Facility, where the party finds abused Espers.
