Chocobo (series)
The Chocobo series is a spinoff series of the Final Fantasy series, and it stars a Chocobo. The first game of the series is Chokobo no Fushigina Danjon, a Mystery Dungeon game released in 1997. The Chocobo series contains over 20 titles released for game consoles, mobile phones, and online platforms. The games have a variety of genres, including the Mystery Dungeon series, racing games, adventure games, and minigame collections.
Several of the games were developed by Square, who later became Square Enix. Some of the games were developed by other companies, including h.a.n.d., Bottle Cube, and Smile-Lab. Most of the Chocobo series titles were not released outside of Japan.
