Chocobo is a young chocobo who serves as the main and titular character of the Chocobo series. It has a distinct round appearance that distinguishes it from general members of the species. Chocobo first appeared in Chokobo no Fushigina Danjon, a Japan-exclusive title, in which it has a distinct name, Poulet (Japanese: プーレ, Pūre). Chocobo's first game appearance outside of Japan is Chocobo's Dungeon 2.
In Final Fantasy XIV, there is a Chocobo named Alpha, who has an identical appearance to Chocobo himself.
