The Bestiary menu option for Final Fantasy I & II: Dawn of Souls

The Bestiary is a recurring menu feature in several of the Final Fantasy games. It shows a list of each enemy, their stats and, in some games, a description of them. An enemy's profile only appears in the Bestiary if they were defeated by the party. The Bestiary is somewhat comparable to the Pokédex of the Pokémon series.

The Bestiary only appears in remakes for both Final Fantasy I and Final Fantasy II, starting with the compilation title, Final Fantasy Origins. The Bestiary also appears in Final Fantasy I & II: Dawn of Souls, as one of three options from the Title Select, and in the PlayStation Portable remakes for the respective games.
