A Vestal is a major figure in Crystalism, the religion of those who worship the crystals in Bravely Default. They are "wed" to each crystal and supply the one they're devoted to with power via prayer. However, the Duchy of Eternia have either captured or killed the vestals that they've found in any territory, eventually leaving Agnes to be only living Vestal able to purify the crystals.
Agnes was friends with the other Vestals, especially Olivia, the Vestal of water.
