Valisthea is the realm where Final Fantasy XVI takes place. Valisthea comprised of two continents, Storm and Ash. Valisthea is the home of six nations, the Grand Duchy of Rosaria, the Holy Empire of Sanbreque, the Kingdom of Waloed, the Iron Kingdom, the Dhalmekian Republic, and the Crystalline Dominion. The outbreak of the Blight has caused conflicts between nations.
