Mad Plants are enemies that exclusively appear in Final Fantasy Mystic Quest. They are evil-looking tree stumps with two branches for arms and several roots for legs. Mad Plants only appear at the first two Battlefields and therefore have no Overworld sprite. Mad Plants have two stronger variations, Plant Man and Live Oak. Mad Plants have the same Japanese name as Ropers but are a different species from them.

Mad Plants have 60 HP, and when defeated, reward 57 EXP and 3 GP. They are vulnerable to Axe attacks. As a Mad Plant takes damage, parts of their body get chopped off.
