The Earth Crystal is one of the four elemental crystals that appear throughout the Final Fantasy series, starting with the first game, Final Fantasy. As its title suggests, the Earth Crystal is associated with the power of earth. The Earth Crystal is consistently portrayed as yellow throughout its appearances.
In the original Nintendo Entertainment System version of Final Fantasy, the four crystals are orbs. The Earth Crystal was known as the Earth Orb. It has become the Earth Crystal ever since the release of Final Fantasy III.
