In ''[[Final Fantasy Mystic Quest]]'', there is a Minotaur who is fought as a boss in the [[Level Forest]]. It wears a skirt-like clothing made of wood and two metal bands on each arm. Minotaur carries around its own axe (although the guide calls it a sword).

In Level Forest, as [[Benjamin]] and [[Kaeli]] are journeying through, Kaeli uses her [[Axe]] to cut down trees in the way. She eventually chops a glowing tree, only to discover that it is the Minotaur in disguise. The Minotaur angrily inflicts [[poison]] upon Kaeli, and a battle starts. In the battle, Minotaur has two damaged sprites; its first sprite shows its left horn missing, but as Minotaur takes further damage, its second sprite is shown, in which much of its armor is missing.
