Categories are a way to organize all the pages on the wiki. There are different standards for adding categories per article, template, file, and even category pages.

File categories

Games of the Final Fantasy series have various categories. For example, Category:Final Fantasy I enemy sprites pertain to sprites of enemies, or Category:Final Fantasy VII character artwork pertain to artwork of other characters. A screenshot would be categorized under Category:Final Fantasy VII screenshots.

All crossover games must be listed under a single image category pertaining to the game. Example: Category:Itadaki Street Special images or Category:Mario Sports Mix images. Every crossover game category should be categorized under Category:Crossover game images.

Standards for crossover image categorization also apply to a game compilation itself (not the games on the compilations). Example: Category:Final Fantasy I & II: Dawn of Souls images. These image categories must have the category Category:Compilation game images. Games on the compilation itself must be categorized like the Final Fantasy games, for example: Category:Final Fantasy I (GBA) character sprites. The root category for a game included on a compilation (e.g. Category:Final Fantasy I (GBA) images) must link to the image category for the game compilation, in this case, Category:Final Fantasy I & II: Dawn of Souls images).
