Zidane Tribal is the main protagonist of Final Fantasy IX. He is a thief and a member of the Tantalus Theater Troupe. The game starts with Zidane and the group trying to kidnap Princess Garnet. However, when the mission ends in failure, Zidane and himself on a journey to save Gaia from the Kingdom of Alexandria and Kuja. Zidane is a womanizer by nature, but over the course of his journey, Zidane has developed true feelings for Princess Garnet. Late into his adventure, Zidane learns that is a Genome, a human-like species with a monkey tail.
