The Walt Disney Company is an international multimedia entertainment conglomerate. Originally founded on October 16, 1923 by Walt Disney and Roy O. Disney as Disney Brothers Cartoon Studio, the company has grown to among the largest and most well known in the entertainment industry. While the company has a stake in hundreds of industries, their primary output falls in studio production, media distribution, theme parks, resorts and experiences.
Relevance to Final Fantasy[edit]
Disney owns the Kingdom Hearts brand and all original assets, which prominently feature content from the Final Fantasy franchise. This came to be because Walt Disney Studios Japan happened to share an office building with Squaresoft in the late 1990s, and several chance events transpired for them to eventually work on the first title together.
