Purpose[edit]
Notice: Material marked for citation must be cited formally (using references) or informally (links posted in a talk page discussion, or invisible comments identifying the relevant material for citation) within one week of being posted, or the information will be moved to the talk page, or removed altogether.
This template must be added to the end of a sentence lacking a citation, which is needed to verify information that cannot be found within the game or other type of media itself.
Editors may also use this template to "tag" material which they see as questionable or weak, but not obviously invalid. The tag serves as a request for a specific inline citation. Addition of such a citation will help verification of the material.
