Gigantoads are a poisonous variant of Toads in the Final Fantasy series. They first appear in Final Fantasy II. Gigantoads' physical appearance usually differs drastically between their appearances.

Game appearances

Final Fantasy IV

In Final Fantasy IV, Gigantoads, named CaveToad in the Super Nintendo and PlayStation releases, are only encountered in the Underground Waterway. They are yellow and have blue stripes on their back and two on each leg. They have a blue tongue and a blue diamond-shaped marking on their forehead.

In Final Fantasy IV Advance, the Gigantoad sprite is less bright, and its shading was done differently.
