Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is a rerelease of Final Fantasy VII Remake adapted exclusively for the PlayStation 5 home console. Revealed during a Sony State of Play livestream in early 2021, Intergrade was released June 10 of the same year in order to bridge the technical gap between the preceding PlayStation 4 and the newly released PS5. As such, the game features upscaled graphics and other optimizations as well as new missions on top of quality-of-life improvements since the original release. Current owners of the PS4 original can in effect crossgrade and transfer existing progress data upon obtaining the new release, which includes access to a new downloadable episode featuring Yuffie Kisaragi called Episode INTERmission.
