Axes are a basic weapon which appear in a few Final Fantasy games, and they first appear in Final Fantasy II. Axes are the most basic of the weapon type of the same name. An Axe consists of a heavy, bladed head mounted crosswise on a handle.

Final Fantasy II

In Final Fantasy II, Axes have 10 Attack, 55 Accuracy, and 1 Evasion. Guy starts out wielding an Axe in his right hand as a starter weapon. Axes are also sold in Weapon Shops in Gatrea, Paloom, and Poft.
